lookin good John, your Cylindropuntia spinosior looks a little bigger than mine, How long you been growing it?
Im suprized its survives there, I sent a coupla stems to Bill a few years ago and they failed, maybe you need to try that one again Bill, or have you already?

There are actually two clones growing side by side. The largest clone if my poor addled memory serves me right (as it does on occasion) has been growing for seven years now. It gives a little better flower display. The second clone is four years old it grows longer more densely spined branches than the first. The flowers of both are identical.

Here are those pictures I promised!

I'm not sure how many clones are reprsented. Dave may remember. I feel at least three. The first, second and third seem to be differant clones the fourth looks a lot like the first one. :dontknow:

Thanks for the pics, so it kinda looks like there could be some polyacantha in one or two of those to me. Would help explain the larger flower.

Well here are the updated shots of the Cylindropuntia spinosior.

Echinocereus reichenbachii var. baileyi.

Echinocereus caespitosus.

I thought I'd show the differances between my two clones of Cylindro. spinosior.
Here are the cup shaped flowers and shorter spines of the first clone.

These next are of a wide open blossom and denser spineage or the second clone.Spineage is a word isn't it??'

Oooh thats a nice'y.
I have one in a pot, so I may never get er to bud. But after seein how large and unruley Darrels got in just a year or so, it's stayin in a pot!
