Heres another one I just found monday night makin my rounds, some kind of moth larvae?
It ate the head completly off an astro. myriostigma in the next pot over. :x

Thanks Tony - I will use those. That way there will at least be some good to come of it. :?

I notice in your second picture the spines are still in place while the stem is eaten away. It makes me think of those MGM cartoons where a structure or wagon or something goes up quickly in flames and all that is left is an outline of ashes.
