I like the roof top peice, as you said, adds nice ventilation but still keeps the rain out.

Thanks guys! Darryl - Bobcats are quite the handy little machines indeed!

I ordered some 4mil greenhouse film and it finally showed up today. It is soooo much nicer than the construction stuff I was using. I put most of it on tonight, but forgot my camera. I'll have to finish the job tomorrow and will get pics.

The roof material (including the special screws) was $300! I wanted to do the whole thing with poly sheets, but too much money for now. The new film cost about $70.

Bill, I am excited for you to be building yours. If you are going to go with a film and not the sheets, make sure you get greenhouse film. The other stuff just doesn't last.

Daiv, I like what you've done so far, and maybe two or three strategically place oil lamp would be sufficient for when you think the temperature is going to drop to a dangerous level. Where there's a will, there's a way. Good luck! Tony

Tony, I tried exactly that, but it wasn't enough to heat that volume of (very drafty) space. I'll either have to seal it better or use a more powerful heat source to stave off frost on nights that go below freezing.

OK, I finished covering the greenhouse tonight and so the plant are in and ready to grow!

And not too a moment too soon. The forecast for tomorrow night is 38F with rain showers and Saturday is supposed to have rain/show showers with a high of 53F and low of 35F.

But they will be safe and dry in the greenhouse!

Good question! I meant to say something about that. I DID remember the camera this time, but by the time I finished, it was too dark to take pics. I'll get some today as I've got to get my Photo Constest pic too! :wink:

Hob, yes all four side panels can be slanted out part way or removed completely.

It is hardly air tight and last year I pretty much left the panels on all the time.
