Growth Habits: Grows to 1 inch [2.5cm] dia, and about 1\2 inch [12mm] tall heavily clumping forming a dense mat of hundreds of stems.

Scientific name: Rebutia neocumingii.

Common names: None.

Etymology: Sulcorebutia :from the Latin sulcus, meaning furrow and refers to the furrows or grooves that occur between the somewhat Tuberculate ribs.
tarabucoensis From Tarabuco (a town/area in Bolivia), where it has been found.
callecallensis named after Calle Calle in Bolivia

Origin: Bolivia [Cerro Calle Calle]

Light: Partial shade to full sun.

Compost: A free draining standard cactus mix.

Water: Regular water in spring to autumn allowing soil to dry between waterings, keep dry in winter.

Flower: Yellow, or red with a yellow throat.

Min temp: Up to -12c.

Cultivation: An easy plant to grow, flowers best if kept dry in winter and is allowed to go below freezing.

Comments. Synonyms listed are for Rebutia neocumingii.
The author of this article does not understand the inclusion of this and a lot of other plants in Rebutia neocumingii.
If you look at Rebutia neocumingii on this site you will see images of former Weingartia species as you will if you look at desert tropicles and cactus art.
For me those plants bear no resemblance to the plant featured in this article.
