Hello all, just back from another trip to Baja, my 8th covering the entire peninsula in the past 3 years. This time I finally got the boat ride out to Isla Magdalena and camped out there for a night, with some time to hike the volcanic ridge line the first day and hike over to Bahia Santa Maria day two. I also got some Morangaya flower pics and some Echinocereus lindsayi flower pics. I also took the back road for the first time from San Luis Gonzaga to Laguna Chapala. They have improved it enough that the Honda could do it, although it was a bit rough in spots. Visited as well with my friends who own about 70% of the habitat of Lophocereus gatesii. A great trip, all around, as usual. I'll post some highlight pics here (some cross posted on Xeric World). If you want to see more I can send links to the Facebook albums.
