Gorgeous stuff! What general area is your land in? And generally, where do you find bicolor?

My land is northwest of Terlingua, kind of hard to reach but lots of stuff to see on the way there. The historical site for bicolor is west of Lajitas but a couple of years ago I found the one in the pics from north of Study Butte. I saw the one in the pic and a couple others further from the fence but all private land so could not explore further. The population west of Lajitas is pretty big and you can explore there as it is on Big Bend Ranch SP.

cool, thanks for the info.

I didn't see any bicolor last spring and was disappointed, but then, it gives me a reason to go back. :-)

Rob,
Man it just gets better! =P~ I really enjoy these habitat pictures. I have been dreaming of a trip to the Big Bend area for years. Perhaps 2010 will be the year. I haven't been East of Arizona or South of Colorado.

Thanks for posting!

More great pics, Rob.
I'll echo the desire to visit this area, a lot of the plants I like and grow come from there.
