does anyone know if the thelocactus setispinus fruit can be eaten?????

Just about any fleshy cactus fruit can be eaten....especially true in habitat ;)

I believe they can. There really are none that jump out at being poisonous or anything. however some might be more bitter than others and some (think OPUNTIA here) have annoying spines.
Here's to you, all you insidious creatures of green..er I mean cacti.

I just ate some Gymnocalycium saglionis fruit for the first time this week. Tastes exactly like Cereus fruit. Didn't take a picture, but looked exactly like Tony's plant here:
