Can you pickle cacti???

The other day I heard someone say that you can pickle cacti, like opuntia fragillis.
Sounded sorta strange to me, but can you?

I will take a wild stab and say that I believe you can. I think, but I could be mistaken that I saw a jar of pickled Opuntia pads once in a grocery store.

I dont know if that was the brand that I saw, however, it looked pretty much like that.. :)
