No email notifications

Post by Tiggy »

For quite a while now I have not been getting the normal email notification when there is a new post on topics that I have commented on or am following. It's really annoying as I have to remember what I was looking at or where I posted in order to check it out to see if there is a follow up, and if I miss it when someone has replied to a comment that I have made, it looks pretty rude when I don't respond simply because I didn't know or remember. ](*,) How canI remedy this? Any ideas please?

In User Control Panel you can check that your account settings are correct (board preferences) and also in 'Profile - Edit account settings' you can check that your email address is correct

I've been having the same problem - I no longer get email notifications after having gotten them for years. All my Profile Settings are set correctly (and haven't changed since I joined a while ago).
Threads for which I've not received updates are listed in my subscribed/watched threads list correctly.

Something changed within the last week or so to cause the system to no longer send messages on subscribed posts.

Hello everyone. I am pretty sure the issue here is not in settings or the forum. Both Susi and Minime have the same e-mail host. I am almost certain that their spam settings are blocking the cactiguide.com auto-generated e-mails.

Me neither but thanks to Dave's intervention at least I have been able to log back on. I was blocked from logging on after changing my email thinking that maybe that was why I wasn't receiving emails any more. BIG mistake. Daiv has now informed me that the current email blocks all notifications from cactiguide. ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) Surely there must be a way round this problem.

Just contact you email service provider and give them the email address, they can add to a safe sender list they keep. Also a lot of email services have this as an option buit in so check the software first.

I did check out the setting options on my email and made sure that Daiv was on the safe list now to see if it works :-k
