~A glimpse into my cacti world~
~A glimpse into my cacti world~
Hello all, my name is Marina and I live in Europe, Greece.
I have started my collection some years ago but I am always adding to it. My older plant at the moment, and a survivor from the cats, is my Oreocereus celsianus, he is 7 years old. He has much improved from his adventure with the cats, which nearly cost him his life.
I will put the names of the succulents I know of, the lack of labelling is common I'm afraid, nurseries over here very rarely have them. Currently all of my succulents are inside my living room, getting sunlight from a south facing glass window panel. Only a couple of them seem etiolated, an Echeveria von nurnberg and a stonecrop sedum for sure. I will have to take cuttings from them in spring. Feel free in helping with the NoID ones if you can and wish or correct me in any I may have mislabeled, that would be of great help, thank you!

Hmm, I would like my images to be smaller next time, and not so blurry, sorry for that.

Very nice collection! I particularly like your sedums but no cacti at all?
The NoID echeveria (2) is probably E. Pulidonis

Thank you Elie! Oh yes, I have more succulents and of course cacti! I just photographed some today,
just to dip my feet into it, lol. It takes courage when I see all the stunning collections in the forum! Much humbled seeing
the knowledge, the time and love going into these collections, and how beautiful they are!
I will try to shoot my cacti into more light, the succulent images seem too blurry. Thank you for the ID!

Well, there was some cacti (Rhipsalis) above, I liked maybe most, especially compact ones. And many of succulent plants that can be grown outdoors year around.Rhipsalis collection.jpg (134.56 KiB)

The most important of ALL, is that one takes better care of each when you know the species. Thank you very much!ElieEstephane wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2018 11:16 pm another photo loaded for me now. NoID succ1 is aeonium kiwi. give it more sun and it will amaze you!

The survivor from the cats and a hard winter inside the house, since the balcony was in the works. I am changing the soil and putting him in another mix very soon, also the exposure to the sun will help him greatly.

Thank you so much Teo! Much appreciated!
Thank you Elie, in a very short time all of my cacti will be again in the balcony. I will take care to give him the sun exposure
he needs, great advice! My balcony has one side in bright shade and one totally sunlit, so when I have proper knowledge of the species I own, I will hopefully give them the right conditions for them to thrive.
