First flower

Post by keith »

I planted these seeds way back ~2005 and finally a flower on one of them. I have 3 plants left I think I started out with a dozen. I have seen them big as grapefruits at cactus nurseries , mine are golfball size . Slow growers

Congrats. A long wait, but worth it.

Ariocarpus fissuratus , first flower and this cactus is over 15 years from seed. I scattered a few seeds way back but didn't expect any to germinate. 5 moves later I still have the plant.

I've germinated many since then but this is the first to flower and the biggest.
