Cultivating cacti of N. E. Brazil
Cultivating cacti of N. E. Brazil
The following non-commercial web site that I generated is not intended to be an authoritative treatise. Quite the opposite, it simply represents an accumulation of notes and photographs I have assembled over time relating to numerous species I have grown and propagated and that might be of some use to fellow enthusiasts. I will be updating it periodically to include more photographs and information relating to additional species I have cultivated.

We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.

Ah, thank you K.W. my dear friend. Of course your own efforts and contributions are enormous. I just visited your thread ("Every day new flowers in the greenhouse in Köln") to feast on the daily repast of photos of those magnificent plants and flowers of yours.K.W. wrote:.......... Dear James,

I have added a Discocactus Miscellany page
This is a selection of plants some of which may be cultivars or hybrids or of suspect nomenclature.
Much taxonomic confusion and controversy surrounds this genus -- there has been much discarding, or consigning to pseudonyms, of many old names.
I think some of my plants maybe cultural hybrids due to greenhouse cross pollination (which appears to occur frequently in this genus) .
The bold names in the captions accompanying the photographs are those that accompanied purchased plants.

I happened upon your website by accident while doing a search for Tacinga. I downloaded the entire site as reference in case it ever goes down. I check it every so often. Tu sitio es muy informativo, James.
