Another today - love the soft shade of yellow from this species - one of the few species of cholla I can tolerate in my yard!

A bit more coolness in the garden today.
Re: Minime8484's C&S Collection - 2015
Boy the plants in your garden do look great now, Tristan. A lot more flowers since K.W. and I visited with you in April..
Re: Minime8484's C&S Collection - 2015
Good evening James and Tristan,
yes a lot of beautiful plants and FLOWERS!!!
Here in Cologne, everything is very late. No Echinocereus flower to see. So far, only buds.
Today I showed the pictures of my stay in Arizona friends. All were thrilled!
James, Tristan, I wish you a nice weekend!
Best wishes

Thanks all!
A bunch more new flowers this weekend! Possibly my new favorite Cleistocactus flower - first time bloomer for me! Love the color transitions; the flowers were green in bud but end up with only a greenish tint at base and green tips to the petals. And, thanks to James for this one!

Thanks all!
Some more flowering the past couple of days.
This first one surprised me by how fast the flowers popped out of the cephalium in the morning, and by sunset was in its full glory! The smell was really nice too. Thanks, James!

Tristan,
Very unusual flower on that Grusonia marenae. It's the first I have seen. Many thanks for sharing!

Re: Minime8484's C&S Collection - 2015
First bloom from one of my supposed Cleistocactus tupizensis clones (no locality info, but originally came from a plant in the Netherlands with no locality info either; it's always just had this name)...I've always suspected this was not correctly ID'd and was probably closer to C. parviflorus, and the flower seems to confirm that, though my only verifiable C. parviflorus with locality info has not yet bloomed...but, otherwise looks quite similar. Can't seem to locate good close-up photos of definitive C. parviflorus (the photos in the new CL are of blooming plants, but too far away to see anything but red in the flowers!). Flowers also similar to my clones of C. buchtienii, but I get the feeling many of the closely-related Bolivian Cleistocactus species probably look very similar in flower morphology and are probably a bit variable anyhow.
Would love to know others' thoughts on the ID of this plant!
