Where's KW?

Post by oldcat61 »

Where's KW? - he hasn't posted in almost a week. Hope he's on vacation & hasn't been eaten by a giant Astrophytum. Sue

probably just on his last watering for the year, lots of plants there could take a while.
And as the walls come down and as I look in your eyes
My fear begins to fade recalling all of the times
I have died and will die.
It's all right.
I dont mind
I dont mind.

Glad you're back. Perhaps you weren't disinfecting with sufficient quantities of single malt? Were the new plants a "treat" after being sick?

With me is disinfected in the last 20 years, only with Bourbon.
Single malt is for guys, but single barrel Bourbon is for cacti growers. . .
Material such as Knob Creek. . .

Best wishes

Single malt is only for guys? Not in my family - my grandmother used to put it in cookies. One shot for the mixing bowl & one for her. Sue

Of course not so delicate and wonderful as your jewels. . .
But I could not throw away the old tool ever!

Today afternoon: Frau Klein waits for the opening of the flowers. . . but she was disappointed - maybe next week. . . :)

Thanks K.W. I too love old hand tools (as you saw on my web page) - especially woodworking tools. Yours are indeed treasures! I am sure the makers of our tools differ because of our origins and experiences-- who manufactured your bit brace?

I must get back on topic -- I love your recent series of pics, K.W, -- impressive as always.

Wonderful pictures of the lithops, the hand tools remind me of my grandfathers workshop. He's an antiques dealer, but trained as a carpenter and at 80 is still making grandfather clocks by hand!

That`s great, I wish I could work too when I´am 80!

Many of the tools belonged to my father.
My father and I were / are lawyers.
He then learned something real, sculptor.
I then also learned something real, carpenter.

And so the tools are very important to me!
They are a memory of my father, who is already 40 years dead.

Best wishes
