This doesn't happen very often with this many flowers. Over a week of flowering and still more buds to go.

Nice to know that, I have many young Ferocactus herrerae, and a few F. wislizenii seddlings from some seeds I got on a swap, some got sick but I hope they survive. Both species are very similar but I think the flowers of your are mor reddish in color.cactushobbyman wrote: Ferocactus wislizenii

I think they are, but I have seven now flowering. I had one flower and the others weren't, and still got many seed pods.
