Why would I mind your picture. After all it is a beautiful flower. And you're right it looks almost identical.

Checking in again with you, Maja. You are so lucky to have a healthy, blooming N. roseoluteus! For me, the standouts are all your vividly colored Lobivias. I've always loved the Hoya flowers, especially when they are so densely packed they look like a snowball. My 35 year old inherited plant suffered a lot during the move from NY to Vermont, but it's coming back nicely now with lots of dense green growth. Our recent spell of sunny, hot and humid weather has helped it a lot, I imagine.

Thank you Fanaticactus. I was waiting so long for N.roseoluteus...but the one I have from my starts never bloomed. Not even this year. This two were a last years rescue from a compost pile. Here near lives a man who have a space problems and have to throw things away every now and then. If I happen to come along just at the right time I can get some really nice stuff. Like N.roseoluteus flowering just the next spring.

Not much luck this year

Post by majcka »

I don't have much luck this year with my Adenium obesum. It only has one flower this time of year:

Last July it looked like this:

I think the difference is obvious. :?

But at least I have other flowers to watch:
