Robb's Topic

Post by Robb »

I've been meaning to post some photos in this section for a while  now I have finally got around to it!
Ok here's an overview: My collection is fairly small consisting of around 45 fully grown plants residing on an old barbeque table with a plastic roof, about 70 seedlings of varying species are living inside on a coffee table. and 20 or so outdoor cacti that are either too big, or scraggly to go on my plant bench, or are cereuses etc. which will be used in future grafting efforts (stay tuned  ) I probably need a Greenhouse but since I'm still quite young I think I wont be getting a good one anytime soon.
Everything aside, here are some of the highlights from 2013, (there are still more flowers to come!) Neoporteria napina
I had one of these a while ago, but it got infested with mealy bugs and died.

Neoporteria occulata, I have a soft spot for Neoporterias and I would get more, if only they weren't so uncommon in New Zealand!

I had to hunt this one out, but it was well worth the search!

Stay tuned!

Love the colors -- especially the first one. That delicate apricot cream color is just delicious.

I like the Leuchtenbergia in bench b . In your collection it makes for a nice contrast.

Okay, some late winter/early spring flowers.
