Very exciting indeed. I can't wait for those Red flowers to open up on that Noto/Parodia

=^_^=

I would also be just as happy to see the flowers on Noto/Parodia Graesneri. I bought one last year and it is of a good small to medium size , but I have had these before and they haven't lasted long for me. I'm hoping this new one will do better.

As they have a nice Yellow/Green flower colour. An even more green tinted one would be the icing on the cake.

Sorry, can't help you there. My collection is small. [-X

Another question for the experts: Are either of these flowering (or budding) plants, M. hahniana or N. haselbergii, self-fertile? :-k Just wondering...

And I discovered a bud on my Mammillaria elongata 'Copper King'. Only thing is, I thought that it was supposed to have a white flower? The bud is pink!

Wow , you have a special little plant there. I love the colour of the flower and how the light almost seems to be coming through.

Must look fantastic against those white spines.

maybe you could take a picture of your N. Hazelbergii from the side in it's pot, on it's own. Would be great to see the flower size in proportion to the plant.

.

.

Pink :P Mamm Elongata flower !

Things are getting interesting.

The beginning of the slow march north of Spring! The pink blossoms on the elongata is a cv. called "Fairy (something)". I've forgotten, but have one. Thought that was the norml until people started talking @ yellow blossoms on elongata!
Once bitten by the cactus collecting/growing bug, there is no known cure!
There's no 12 step programme for Cactaholics...so I shall just have to get some more!!

Very nice !

=^-^=

It reminds me of fireworks being ejected from the top of a cactus.

.

Another plant that reminds me of this, being Neoporteria subgibbosa

I have yet to flower my Discocactus, maybe that will be the same only in white.

.

Fireworks ! I tell ya

Strange that your Copper King still doesn't have offsets. I had never seen one without, actually. Mine is smaller than yours, but it has thirteen offsets (but no flowers  )

It has many offsets, but they are extremely small right now (and mostly on the opposite side of the flower photo). It started growing them at the end of summer and stopped when it got cold.
