Re: my collection so far....
Not much going on in the green house I got a few new plants.
I got a titanopsis calcarea which split into 3 plants when I was repotting it so a bit of a bargain.
I also got a stapelia verrucosa, it was looking very much over watered so I had to remove quite a bit of rotten stems but a few had set new roots so again I spread them over 3 pots hopefully I can not kill them.
There is a bit more happending in my light box.

Re: my collection so far....
That ortegocactus reminded me why I sowed this species in the first place, that olive/sage hue with the leathery texture is quite mesmerizing. Let's hope my seedlings survive my attention to reach that size.

Yes they are nice and large both are L.jourdiniana. I can't take much credit for to one on the right, I bought that as it is now but the smaller one has more than doubled in size since I got it. Thanks K.W. that complement means a lot coming from you, hopefully in 20 or so years they will look half as good as your lophophora patch.

Re: my collection so far....
Ugh freezing condensation in the greenhouse today. I have had the heater fan blowing for a couple of hours now but still some condensation on the middle shelf plants. I am quite worried though many plants where white with frost.

Hello and good evening,
do not be stupid with your beautiful plants!
You have written in "20 years" . . .
So please take care with the plants!!!
I have lost many plants in the last days by frost.
Because I can see little, after the eye surgery, I could not bring all plants into the greenhouse. . .
Best wishes and good luck,
K.W.

Re: my collection so far....
I think I might get away with it k.w. The condensation dried up we'll with the fan and all pants still feel firm. I froze a few last year and they change in texture pretty soon after thawing out so I think I might have been lucky this time with just surface frost rather than internal freezing. I covered them all with news paper after they dried out and insulated the green house a bit better but left room for ventilation. I have just been out and checked them and they are still dry and no frost inside the green house. So fingers crossed just a bit of a scare.

Re: my collection so far....
Damage assessment
A few of my ariocarpus have damaged tubercles but the middle of each looks fine so hopefully they will live.
My ortegocatus have a few shrivelled tubercles but otherwise seems fine.
My echinocactus texensis looks pretty dead. It was very small so may have froze the core.
Both my pelecyphora aseliformus and stombiliformis are a bit of a funny colour, doesn't look good but still firm.
A lot of lophophora where covered with frost but only one seems to have suffered with a slight crinkling but still firm so hopefully they will all live.
All other the other plants look fine but my pleiospilos nelii took a freezing and my eriosyce paucicostata so they may show signs later. So could have been worse but not as bad as it could have been aswell. The weather has warmed so day time temperatures are now well above freezing out of the danger zone for now.
