Lovey plants, although you mistyped the name for the first.

Ah I don't worry about spelling, I'm dyslexic so have come to accept I make mistakes.
Thanks for the comment though much appreciated.

Re: my collection so far....
I think it is not spelling.
It is simply the wrong name for that wonderful plant. How would sound Obregonia denegrii?
Best wishes

Re: my collection so far....
After having good results with using cat litter in my soil mix last summer I have reported my whole collection. For all the limestone lovers I mixed 25% lime free potting grit, 25% cat litter and 50% my existing limestone mineral mix. For my limestone haters 25% potting grit, 25% cat litter 50% existing line free mineral mix.
I have had a few casualties this winter. I lost my mammillaria polythene and astrophytum miriostigma to rot, the mmammillaria got wet due to a leak in the green house and particularly heavy rain but took too long to dry out. This was what prompted the repot give them all a check up and get all not in pure mineral mixes into them ASAP. The miriostigma rotted from top down, it must have collected condensation or something in the fluff. I did try cutting it the rot off but the brown went right down to the roots. A bit annoying but did make a bit of space which has already been filled. Got my self a lophophora koehreshii, gymnocalycium mesapitamicum and an astrophytum caput-medusa.

Had a move around to get more plants out of the house and into the green house. Here is how everything looks ready for spring

Re: my collection so far....
Looking good! Nice collection Lophophora. I am glad I didn't own a greenhouse this winter, with temps in the range -17 to -23C for aprox two weeks straight, the safest is probably to secure a cold window with protection from the ridiculous temperatures we get here sometimes

Re: my collection so far....
Yeah i can imagine the cold gets a bit more drastic up your way. The lophophora are my favourites I just need to get an alberto-vojtechii to complete the set but they are proving quite elusive but 8m sure I'll find one at some point. Gonna need to get a proper greenhouse too, I'm really starting to run out of room now and it's not great with all the rain we have had.

Re: my collection so far....
I will gladly send you a couple of alberto-vojtechii seedlings when I repot mine if you are still looking then, but that's on next winters to do list, I dont want to disturb them any sooner.

Re: my collection so far....
Some new plants I haven't uploaded yet. I also bought some seeds of echinopsis peruviana which are starting to sprout and got mammillaria crintia duwenii seeds on the way. I did loose another plant which I am quite gutted about. My obregonia died. It look very dehydrated and tubercles where drying out so I watered it, it did take up the water well but still didn't look right but I wrongfully assumed it was a bit of sunburn and eventually succumb to rot. I do have another so not the end of the world so I bought the lophs as emotional compansation.
