Good evening dear cacti friends,

the season is almost over. . .
What should I show now?
I will show photos of days that were not yet an issue.
Days that mean something to me, like the 11th of July (2017).

Hello K.W.,
I am intrigued by the flowering columnar monstrose cactus shown in image 170250 on page 201. The stems of the cactus do look familiar, but I have never before seen one of these plants in bloom. Am I correct with the assumption, that plants of this kind do not flower as well as normal plants of the same genus and species?

Good afternoon Harald,

you are absolutely right.
I've never seen such a monstrous Cereus bloom.
Even 40-year-old plants, more than two meters / 6,5 feet high - no flowering.

Best wishes
