Of course. All of them are. Jens sorry I only moan, but I'll get used to the situation and in a few days will be in better mood.

Just asked that same question @ a Gymno. pflanzii blossoming in central Alberta, Canada & mine aren't even showing buds. Reply was their daylight already longer than upstate NY. Same deal? :-k Love the senilis blossoms -- mine struggled mightily to get thru & a couple of spines still snagged blossoms so never fully opened

Hello Jens,
I too do love your healthy looking Turbinicarpus plants.
Do you have a greenhouse or are you growing your plants on a window sill of a south facing window?
That Eriosyce senilis plant of yours does seem to have been around for a good number of years. Is that one of your first cacti or have you been growing them for a very long time?

Harald

Thank you all, yes it was a freaky kind of weather this spring. But usuallly I am leaving the bubble film inside the greenhouse until the mid-end of april so I didn´t have exceptionally many casualties this year (except some unloved melocactus seedlings ha ha ).
The Neoporteria buds developed in about 2-3 weeks to flowering size - it seems to depend on the overall size of the plant a little too since the smaller E. senilis are still on their way to flowering here. Many of the bigger ones I sadly inherited from a dear cactus friend named Helmut Huckstorf (HH) who passd away two years ago- I´d rather had him still around with all his old Eriosyce plants still in their original place....

Great set-up, Jens! Thanks so much for the view :D ! I'm renting old farmhouse with (godsend) glassed-in porch. I can appreciate losing a old cactus friend -- having any "old-time" master/istress, especially in plants is a treasure. I'm sure much of him is in you!

You got yourself a serious GH. Now I get it. No wonder you already have spring time.

Maja - Do NOT refinance the house or rent out the kids! It's just like the Golden Barrels in your front yard!
