Two more from across the street. These plants are further east and directly north of the end of my driveway, I see them everyday.

YAY finally this saguaro which has three stems now from an older plant stump that lost it's main stem many many years ago is finally getting a flower that lived on it. The past 5 years it has had buds that turned black and died before they bloomed. I dont know why ..

Cool, I dont recall seeing C. leptocaulis flowers before.

Tony, to be honest, I have never seen them til this year. They get the fruits which means they bloom right? I always missed them.. probably too busy looking at more impressive Opuntia, but I love their flowers. They are simple but elegant I think.

Tristian, yes I have lots of color at the moment. Pretty soon things will wind down and it will be boring, but I enjoy this time of the year the most..(well and into saguaro blooming season )

haha well, Opuntia are very beautiful when they are in flower, or if they have neat spine structure like some of them do. I like them because the flowers are some of the best cacti produce. Sure there are some that I like just as much or more, but they are very consistent.
