Tony - How do you not get "jaded" to constant large #'s of blossoms? while I'm at the other end of the curve hoping for SOMEthing showing possibilities of buds. I do have a (new last Fall) M. nazasensis with a large # of small yellow blossoms & my faithful M. bombycina with a few small pinks. That's it! For some reason, even the reliable (last 2 Winters) M. gracilis only put out a couple of small yellows.
Once bitten by the cactus collecting/growing bug, there is no known cure!
There's no 12 step programme for Cactaholics...so I shall just have to get some more!!

Despite the risks with all the California phenomena (droughts, floods, wildfires, earthquakes), I think it would still be worth it to move there so my cacti could be outside and benefit from your obviously perfect climate. The size and huge numbers of flowers is just amazing! Thanks so much for sharing.

Tony - I forgot to check Corona Cactus - they have them both. Small of course, but it's a start. Thanks for sharing, Sue

All of my E. mapimensis and rayonesensis plants came originally from CC many years ago and have performed flawlessly.

Thanks everyone!
