I am going to follow PeterB's lead and start a new topic for this year. Getting all of those old pictures back into the old topic is going to take a while, and in the meantime I have stuff to share!

Here are some happy signs of spring:

I'm having trouble with my camera. I use auto focus because I have a hard time seeing and it works better than my eyes for many shots. Here is an interesting shot where the auto focus went "wrong" but I still think the picture is cool...

Some of these pictures are redundant, but I hope you enjoy them anyway!

Nice "fat 'n sassy" Opuntia, Harriet! What kind? All of us with O. humifusa can relate! But just yesterday a couple of humifusa pads started to lift from "plastered to the ground" :) You're "work" with the garden tires me out looking at the effort!
=D>

The two Opuntia are humifusa. The second one is from a cutting I got from a forum member in the midwest, and the one in the first picture was a "gift" from my husband -- who managed to dig it up from the side of the road just before the mowers got to it. That one is a Florida native!

Bad decision on my part, I miss Less Error, he was a friend of mine.

Oh, I'm sure "he'll" still drop in from time to time, esp. when not expected! :) Kind of a "cameo" role!

Dont we all! :) Well, maybe not everyone... I certainly do. Moved away many years ago. :laughing6:

What is the red plant (Aloe?) in the front of the bed in the second image?

I like the square tapered terra cotta. 8)

The red aloe in front and the one on the far left came from Arid Lands, one is Aloe cameroni var dedzana, the other is Aloe dorotheae. I bought them both because they are supposed to turn red in sun/stress and I needed/wanted more color in that bed. But I'll have to do some research to figure out which one is which!

Home Depot has the pots. The tall tapered one was just under 10 dollars, the small more rounded one was just under five. The largest size was just under 28 dollars. I bought a bunch. They had round ones too. I thought I was getting a deal on the one the euphorbia is in, until I found Home Depot's stash... Only problem with them is that the stickers won't come off easily... I need to turn them around!

nice gardens. I need to get my battery recharged for my camera and can't find the recharger for it. I am getting a lens error too. Might be unrelated. :(

Echinocereus pentalophus ssp procumbens. New this spring, I got it at Yucca Do.
