Darryl,
Nice pics as usual. The Mamm. deherdtiana has very nice flowers. I also like the M. microhelia has very attractive spine's, and last, but not least the Stenos have very cool looking buds.... well heck they all look great.
Edit: spelling

Those remarkable Turbies never fail to amaze me. Just compare the ultra-tiny bodies and the elegant, showy flowers!
Thanks for the always inspiring pics.

Hi Darryl
Is that Stenocactus with white flowers a hybrid? Spines look very much like coptonogonus but way too many ribs...

Gorgeous all around, Darryl!
Re: CoronaCactus 2012 - Collective Mayhem
Spectacular plants Darryl, as always. Love that multicostatus. I wonder if that Echinoffossulocactus with whitish flowers is phyllacanthus?

Thanks everybody!
E. phyllacanthus is a possibility. But i seem to recall they have much 'wilder' spines? I'll have to ask Jim next time i get to C&J. I've had it for atleast 3 years now, just never got around to a name...

I use a very sophisticated and complicated set of formulas to calculate the precise time....In which i've come up with: pretty much when it gets warm out when nights are warmer than 50-55F (ish)StrUktO wrote:very beautiful plants and flowers darryl!

Nights are still a bit cool, but i started last week anyway, everything got watered. Mid Feb is usually my time to start.
Re: CoronaCactus 2012 - Collective Mayhem
great! I think that means that march would be the time here, last year it lost a lot of its roots probably due to overwatering
my theory is it needs some rest in summer.. can't wait to see flowers on it, the plant is surely big enough, no sign of buds yet though
