Beautiful plants, Arjen!
Especially the M. capensis looks great.

Re: Strukto 2012
I had no idea there were so many different looking Weingartias. Nice collection!
Catch a falling star--but don't try it with a cactus!
Re: Strukto 2012
@fanaticactus, the genus Weingartia wasn't so large, however...
in 2008 it was revised to include the genusses (don't know if I spelled that right..) Sulcorebutia and Cintia, now it's very large!

Re: Strukto 2012
That's what has confused me for a while now, Arjen. I can see many similarities, but they still are different enough to my eyes to warrant different names--especially the Cintia. Are all those officially classified under the very general "Rebutia" now? Most lists and texts seem to do that. I'm the kind of person who, once I'm used to a named genus, find it very hard to switch to another genus. The primary example of this is Trichocereus, which was my very first cactus when I was in high school. I just can't think of it as Echinopsis.Arjen wrote:@fanaticactus, the genus Weingartia wasn't so large, however...
