haha I usually have about 20 or so things that bloom yellow. I got tired of yellow when I first moved here, but now I like yellow flowers. My Parkinsonia (Palo Verde) have yellow blooms and this year they were amazing. The P. microphylla in the front that started out as nothing but a tiny little twig has grow taller and this year was finally covered with thousands of little yellow flowers. (it even caused an accident, a bee flew into a guys window and he crashed his van right down the street from me, where was the bee going? to my Palo Verde tree)
I do like other colored flowers tho.
Those Grusonia sure show you that they are related to Opuntia/Cylindropuntia...
It looks almost like a Cylindro flower.

Another first for me today - a complete surprise - I would have missed this one if I hadn't been poking around in that area of the yard.
This
Mammillaria lenta I had thought was languishing in my care as I had no sign of flowers all spring; apparently, it's happy enough!

Last night my first ever blooms on my
Harrisia balansae opened. There were 3 flowers, but in my attempt to move vegetation out of the way for a better photo, I accidentally knocked one off!
Still - quite a show!

Been a bit slower lately, but a couple of bloomers sticking around.
My
Fouquieria diguetii likes to bloom when completely leafless - that's OK with me!

My
Grusonia (Marenopuntia) marenae is not only flowering earlier than last year, but is already on its second round of flowering - and many more buds to come.
