I thought I would start a thread with my collection in it - it seems like fun! :D

First to bloom for me this year is my first ever bloom of Mammillaria hernandezii. Really love this plant, and seems to do really well in-ground - despite having been stepped on by the crew removing a fallen Eucalyptus from my yard last fall!

I hope you all enjoy some of the pics I hope to post!

All M. hernandezii are beautiful but yours has particularly attractive and well-delineated spines. Kudos!

The flower on my Mammillaria hernandezii is still going strong, and also opened another flower to add to the display today.

Had a banner bloom day for mid-January - plants are coming alive in the beautiful weather.
My Mammillaria lauii finally opened its first flowers today with many more to come.

And, my first bloom ever from my Thelocactus lausseri also opened today - I didn't think it would ever maneuver its way past the spines!

And, my reliable Mammillaria vetula v. gracilis is still blooming - non-stop since mid-November and still going strong.

Even my tiny new Turbinocarpus valdezianus is showing the beginnings of a flower bud! (Thanks, Tony!) Can't wait for this one to open - will be my first Turbo bloom!

Another first for me opened its first flowers of the season - with several more to come!
Lovely spination and nice subtle flower colors - really love this plant (Thanks, Tony!!).

Another new bloomer for me today - Mammillaria bombycina. I know it is pretty common, but I finally broke down and got one this year, as the spination is really nice. Glad I did!
