I don't know much about what Engelmann called "denudata," the form of lasiacantha without feathery spines. I think there are some near Presidio in Texas, but not sure about these Jarilla Mountain plants.

Great Blossums & Buds, PeterB! Now I can feel "their" push in the pics! Since last time I was bemoaning waiting for Spring, discovered 2 more plants putting out their 1st time buds - one a bequeathed salvage! A week of 60's starting tomorrow! 8) 8) Everything will explode! :cheers: Spring Peepers serenade will be on!
