Well had the day of so...took out my camera for a few shots
My notocactus/parodia still flowering away
Here side by side by another one of my cactus in flower, my Parodia...
That Parodia Werneri is very sneaky, she flowered for the first time last week (only one flower) but i totally missed it, but i wont be missing the two remaining flowers. Unfortunately the weather as been a bit bad, it isn't really that sunny so i assume the flowers wont open much more than this
Another one of my lophos in flower, they tiniest one any of my lophos ever produced, but still wonderful
And finally some growth on both of my T. articulatus papyracanthus
We sailed through endless skies Stars shine like eyes The black night sighs The moon in silver trees Falls down in tears
Light of the night The earth, a purple blaze Of sapphire haze in orbital ways...
With apologies to the late Professor C. D. Darlington the following misquotation springs to mind ‘cactus taxonomy is the pursuit of the impossible by the incompetent’ - Fearn & Pearcy, Rebutia (1981)
so even in portugal the weather was like that? good to see your gymno's enjoying the sun!

I actually did that gem, with one of my fingers , let's see what happens
Yes struckto the weather was just like that here too, and it s not over, as next Thursday, we are expecting a drop in temperature of 10ºC, it seems the rain might come back with a vengeance...

Temps. are due to drop here too. Lovely pictures, have really enjoyed looking at them, (am still hoping for the weather to improve to kick-start mine). I too am quite new to this and trying to learn as I go along. Susi
Well been away for a while and the weather as not been the best, as a result my cacti have been very shy when it comer to flowering, and the pictures unfortunately reflect that...i actually have been feeling a bit down by that had allot of hopes...oh well.
This guy here on top, as you can see has glue on him...he was a rescue, he had one of those horrid straw flowers on him, but that did not prevent me from having him and rescuing him from a terrible fate!! As a result he presented me with lovely flowers
I've had a few more in flower, but due to lack of sun they didn't really opened and eventually expired
PS: Hello Sharpy!! I'm not sure but it might be a G. baldianum
