Are you sure them G. Baldianum's are pure .

They look like hybrids, maybe with G. Denudatum jan suba or Denudatum.

Certainly don't look like pure G. Baldianum

The first one P127 is definitively a pure baldianum. I'm quite sure.
The second one with the light red flower could be a hybrid.
But the spines seem to be typical for both plants. Anyway it's nice to see them flower.

I vote for the mams, great plants Ralf !
I am puzzled by that lovely Escobaria, to me it looks more like an albicolumnaria than a dasyacantha....
Ciao :)

Unfortunately I don't know it exactly but with guarantee it's more than 15 years old.
It is really really slow growing and till the first flowers appear it takes many years.
Especially on own roots.

Some more pics taken a couple days ago.

Again very nice loph. My one should start offsetting soon they look great as clumps instead of single heads.

Yeah the Strombocactus are slow, I sowed seed about 9 months ago and the biggest is only about 5 or 6mm now but looks like a perfect tiny version of yours. I will try to take some pictures of um today.

Once again great show, I love the look of that aurea!
this morning I had var fallax in flower, yet to my astonishment the flower was a whitish pink, like an echinopsis eyriesii...
I wonder if that is normal, will have to look it up, I suspect a hybrid origin

Thanks adetheproducer and Arjen!

Strombocactus are really beautiful plants but it takes a looooong time till they show their first flowers. So happy growing, adetheproducer.
Arjen, there a really masses of Echinopsis hybrids and they hybridize easy, so you can't never know whether it's a hybrid or not. Anyway some of them have really beautiful flowers.
