Huh, interesting. I doubt Ferocactus rectipsinus grows in the Tucson area. There might be some emoryi with slightly straighter spines than normal. But rectispinus is a distinct geographic strain entirely limited to a swath of Baja from just outside San Ignacio to the Bahia Concepcion area, as far as I know.
Of course, I'm wrong several times a day and this could be time number one.
