It would be hard for anyone not to get hooked on cacti and succulents after viewing this thread. Such an amazing collection! You have created a truly incredible space, something to aspire to.

I am from Tucson. That is a great place to be that time of year.

Can you arrive in Arizona just a couple days earlier? We will be having our annual Central Arizona Cactus and Succulent Society show in Phoenix April 8-10 at the Desert Botanical Garden.

Even if you cannot make the show, you should try to visit the Desert Botanical Garden. It is worth the drive I think.

Have you been to Tucson before?

Good evening Vipassana,

thank You for the hint!

I have been at the show last year, my friends James and Tristan brought me there.
This year I will not have come earlier.

Here are some photos from last year.

Ah, good to hear you've seen it in the past. I actually met Tristan at last year's show and that is when I joined the CACSS group.

There are some very neat nurseries to visit in Tucson. I actually grew up a mile or two from Tanque Verde Greenhouses and B&B. I always enjoyed the desert native species of cactus and grew many with my father, but the show last year is where I really learned just how interesting the world of succulents is.

I should post my pictures from the show last year as well. I will make sure to post this year's show as well.

Good morning dear cacti friends,

it was a very mild November and December 2015 in Köln.
In mid-November the Mammillaria were still in the "outdoor-dining".
