OK, I can't stand the wait. I'm giong to put up a temporary greenhouse today using scrap lumber and plastic sheeting. It won't be the best in the world, but I should be able to get my plants out of storage a lot faster and not have to worrry about rain and freezing nights -especially as the 10 day forcast has every night here below the freezing point!

I am bringing the camera and will post pictures of the build!

Lumber used:

4x4
4 @ eight feet long

2x2
6 @ eight feet long
8 @ five feet long
8 @ seven feet long
16 @ 1 foot (cut at 45 degrees to brace side panels)

1x4
7 @ 14 feet long
5@ 11 feet long
12 @ 8 feet long
4 @ 3 feet long
2 @ 2.5 feet long
5 @ 1.5 feet long

1x2
4 @ 14 feet long

You can heat it for a few bucks per day using gas. Give me a chance to post pics of what I did before you decide what kind of heat to use.

So I've still got to add the roof and am going to make four side panels that will be able to swing out at the bottom or be completely removed.

It measures 14' x 8' x 8' and is moveable. It isn't going to stay here where I built it.

Ian, I've thought about heat, but after reading your experience, I think I might be able to get away without it. The nights shouldn't get below 20 from here on out I think...
