I have been trying for quite some time to figure out what this is. This is the first indoor cactus in my collection to ever bloom! It was pretty exciting when I could see the little buds forming, and I figured that would give me a better chance and figuring out what it is, but I’m not having any luck I can’t seem to find anything that looks just like it, the closest thing I could find was M. matudae but the spines don’t seem quite right. The ones on mine are straight, the other ones seem to point more upward.
This one is about 2.5 or 3” across at its widest point and about 4” tall. I’ve had it for about 2 years and it hasn’t grow much in that time. After counting there is about 20 spines around the middle ones. The flowers have no scent but are very pretty. It has been blooming since the beginning of 2018.
I would really appreciate some help in identifying this little guy please and thank you all!
