I got this start from a friend today. The tallest piece is around 4" and it has a slight velvety texture to the touch. The tallest parts on the parent plant is around 12". Recently developed buds but they dried and fell off.

Stapelia, could be giganrea or similar.
If your cacti mess in your job just forget about the job.

Thank you. Now I'm not sure if I'm excited to see it bloom, lol. I'll cross my fingers thats its the not stinky one.

Don't hope too much, all Stapelias stink. They're all pollinated by flies. Though some don't smell quite so bad.
