Echinopsis and Gymno

First I bought this one labeled Echinopsis sp. What does sp. mean? and can I get an ID on the species please?

Second, I also recently bought this cactus labeled Gymnocalycium friedrichii:

and I bought this cactus a while ago which was labeled friedrichii:

Are these really the same species? and if so anyone know the reason for the obvious difference in appearance.

The first cactus is Echinopsis eyriesii. The sp. is short for species.
The first Gymno. may be mihanovichii and the second one G.mihanovichii friedrichii.

First gymnocalycium is baldanium.(mihaolovichi has rough stems)
The other echinopsis is ancistophora.
