Ive had this one (left most) really tall opuntia plant and would like an ID.
Would really appreciate info because i need to know its hardiness and growth characteristics.
My guess is ficus indica, but thought it could be another tree opuntia.(tropical species-which is why i need an id
Its 5 years old, store bought from a cutting. 1,5 meter tall

Looks like O. Engelmannii. Here's a picture of cutting i started late this season. Delicious fruit!

Re: Unknown Opuntia
Wasnt engelmanii more bush like and with yellow spines? Cause when i look up engelmanii itdoesnt look even closely to it.
Yours looks like a spiny ficus indica, but not nearly as spiny as mine. The difference is that your younger pad is spineless, whereas mine has pads which are evenly covered huge spines since a bud. In addition, the apex part of the pads are heavily covered in spines. I would have shown you, but that isnt really feasible right now.
I have an opuntia which i would call engellmanii and it does not look like this one.( Its blue , short, yellow spines, bushy)
In case youre wondering why does mine look etiolated its because this summer was re potted then put in a shady spot to recover.
I did mention this is a 1,5 meter plant - the oldest pad is wide and long, so it definitely not engelmanii
I was thing leucotricha or sterpanactha

Knowing macedonian climate, it will in either in a few years, or never. Only opunitia to ever flower was humifusa. And that one is sorta native
Re: Unknown Opuntia
The opuntia engelmanii is var lindhemerii.
Yours could be a opuntia robusta as well.
