Thanks Elie, I had #7 as a Parodia for sure, but, indeed, it looks like M. pilcayensis. I need to take a look at the plant to verify it. thanks

Is #9 the one I previously said was probably Echinocereus stramineus? Because that's what it looks like.

Yes, Spence, thats the same plant. But the first time I've posted it here, it was totaly covered by the spines, and we couldn't see the stem. As the plant changed a little, I tought that maybe another name could be assigned to it. However, since you continue to ID it as E. stramineus, even with this change in the appearence, I can assume it definetely as such. Thank you very much!

Yes. they do change a bit - as I said before, I was convinced mine was a Cleistocactus at first. I was fooled by the dense spine coverage. but there's more space between the areoles when they're older. The spines also become longer, just as yours is doing. The older spines are turning straw-colored, which also fits - that's what stramineus means, "straw-like" or "made of straw".

Growing very well. Give it maximum sun for best spine development.
