Hello all!
I have purchased my first four cacti and I am very excited! However, they were not marked. I hope to learn how to identify cacti on my own, but was looking for some insight as to what they all may be. They are all approximately 2in tall. The yellow one has spines that are quite soft, like a tooth brush.

After a lot of picture-gazing, my best guesses are:
1) Mammilaria Backebergiana
2)Parodia Leninghausii
3)???Echinopsis???
4) Ferocactus Pilosus
Thanks in advance for your time!

1. More like mammillaria magnimamma
2. A parodia but definitely not leninghausii

There are more cacti in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.

1. Perhaps Mammillaria zeilmanniana?
2. Could be P. leninghausii, imo

Re: Help ID my first cacti?
1. I would say M. crinita (which zeilmanniana is now considered a subspecies of) - zeilmanniana has dark central spines, and deeper pink flowers.
2. I can't argue with P. leninghausii, either.
