Please identify my new mammillarias (left to right) which I brought from a nearby store.
Am more curious about the last two with silver-white spines.
Look like both are relatives and cousins .
Or are they same with different growth rate?

Re: Please identify my new mammillarias
Last one might be M. matudae.
First one maybe M. dixanthocentron
First one maybe M. dixanthocentron
Re: Please identify my new mammillarias
Second from left is muehlenpfordtii
There is no cactus you can't eat, but you just might regret it if you eat the wrong one.

Mic thanks for the ID.
My first one with golden long spines very much resembles M. muehlenpfordtii .
But quite recently, someone told me that the second from left is mammillaria celsiana..
Both muehlenpfordtii and celsiana looks same in Google images .
Any expert comments?

Thanks Teo .teo wrote:Last one might be M. matudae.

It does look similar to M. dixanthocentron.
But see my comments ..
It looks similar to M.celsiana and M. muehlenpfordtii ..
The last one looks very much same as M.matudae.
The second last i am thinking is M. Haageana. Or M . Dealbata .
Any thoughts?
Re: Please identify my new mammillarias
The reason why Mammillaria muehlenpfordtii and M. celsiana look the same is that they actually are the same species. M. muhlenpfordtii being the oldest name takes priority and M. celsiana becomes a synonym of it. Another name reduced to synonymy under M. muehlenpfordtii is M. neopotosina.
In the past the same species has often been named several times by different botanists until it was realised they were the same species, then in botany the oldest validly published name takes priority and all the others become synonyms of it.
