Opuntia Seedling IDs

Post by Scottyzx12 »

Hi all!

It's been a while since I last posted but here are some five-year old opuntia seedlings that are suffering from a collective identity crisis.

Could anyone help?

Are these seedlings still too young to ID?

I grew them from a mixed pack of cacti seed, do any of these resemble opuntias commonly found in such packs?

- Yes;
- Opuntia are hard to determine even grown up not knowing the origin of the seeds or cuttings. Plus these are not in best shape because of insufficient sun, that is always the case when growing them indoors or behind glass. I have some that are grown from O. ficus-indica seeds and they look like some of yours.
Look among the common species grown outdoors in US.
Good luck !

P.S. #1 & 2 can be Opuntia aciculata.
If your cacti mess in your job just forget about the job.
