Two different Myrtillocactus

Post by Lisa »

Hi fellow cacti enthusiasts!

I have two cacti that where sold to me in the same store as Myrtillocactus geometrizans, but they look kind of different. I'm not sure if they are just a variation in the same species or two different species, in that case, which one?

I would really appreciate any help from you!

Happy Easter everyone,

Lisa

How blue the stems are can often depend on the light intensity they were cultivated under. They also can often go greener lower down as the stem ages, the blue being mainly on the new growth. The large one looks like a top cut off a more mature plant.
