It seems like Parodia subterranea has a straight spines, and your plant has curved ones. I think it is Coryphantha palmeri

As you say Lucy some Parodia subterranea's do have straight spines, but some do have hooked ones and that is certainly a Parodia.

Coryphantha palmeri does have hooked spines but looks rather different.
