Selenicereus NOID

Post by ausrpned »

Had a Selenicereus(?) flower last night. resembles a S. megalanthus but is not self fertile and from memory S. megalanthus has larger flowers.

Welcome any suggestions as to an ID.

Cheers

Thanks viana. Starting to think it likely to be Selenicereus setaceus but not convinced yet. It looks as if I have managed to set a fruit, that should provide further clues. Cheers

This can be Hylocereus monacanthus.

Thanks 7george

I doubt it is H. monacanthus, the stigma is too robust, more like H. undatus, the stigma lobes are not bifid, ovary has scales rather than spines.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

Cheers
