Hi everyone!
Recently I have been helping out at our local herbarium and have been trying to get more positive IDs on some of the cactus species. Unfortunately as cacti are not a native species here, most of them are fairly ambiguous Opuntias! The cactus below is labeled as Cylindropuntia fulgida var. mammillata, but after googling it, I am less sure of the name being accurate. There are also small leaves similar to those seen on Austrocylindropuntia subulata visible on the apex of the pressed specimen. Could it be Austrocylindropuntia cylindrica?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Opuntiad for ID
Most Opuntiads produce small leaves on the new growth. I think Cylindropuntia fulgida var. mammillata is correct.
