hi, i just got this cactus recently,, i have no clue how to take good care of it, tried googling,, didn't help becouse i don't know what kind of cactus it is and what's it's name,, i'd really appreciate it if anyone can help

Some Cylindropuntia? A closeup showing more fine detail would help.

obviously it has grown, im so happy about that i've only had it for couple of weeks now

Yes, better - you can see the spines clearly, and the shape of the tubercles. I think teo already got it, though, Cylindropuntia fulgida var. Mammillata Monstrosa looks correct.
