Hi all!
I obtained this unidentified cactus months ago...I've not a clue what it could be.
It looks like it finally might be putting out a flower bud, which appears to be red, from the fuzzy apex.
Unfortunately, I am leaving town on Friday for 10 days, so if it blooms, I will surely miss the flower!
So, I'm posting here in hopes someone has a good idea of what this could be.
I originally thought Matucana, but the fuzzy apex is something I've not seen on that genus. It reminds me of Parodia with the fuzzy apex, but have no clue if there are species like this with red flowers.
Thanks in advance for any assistance!
