A dead easy ID for someone . . .

Post by hardcoregeneral »

Hi there,

I inherited a disheveled cacti around two years ago, it had been left dry and had a santas beard and hat pinned to it! I sliced the top off, basically leaving the root and a callous above the soil. After a few weeks it started sprouting like crazy, and I now have around a dozen offsets as well as the original plant left! Problem is I can't ID it/them, can anyone help? Thanks very much.

Thanks for this, makes perfect sense really, as I have similar leninghausii's in the greenhouse too! Wasn't sure if an ID was possible from such small plants.

Both those IDs are correct, synonyms for the same cactus. One of the easiest species to ID.
